The Club Person of the Year award is named the Marge Burke Trophy after one of The Waratahs long-time dedicated supporters and Life Members. Marge was wife of one of our internationals, Cyril Burke, and had four sons (Bruce, Ross, Paul and Colin) play for the club.
Marge passed away in 2015 - the club’s 75th anniversary - at the age of 89. The trophy was inaugurated in 1969 and was presented for the 50th time in 2019.
